Merry Christmas & Shutdown Details

It has been another huge year for Blink Qld and all our tenants and landlords. Not only has it been a massive year for property, but also the ongoing uncertainty and stress caused by another year of pandemic lockdowns.

Here at Blink Qld, we hope that everyone gets the chance to unwind and spend some precious time with family over the festive period.

Our staff will take a well-earned break too and we will be closed for a short period from 4pm on Thursday December 23, until 9am on Tuesday January 4.

Emergencies don’t always take a break

Nothing spoils Christmas lunch like a burst water main or broken toilet!

So here is some important information for what to do when you have repair and maintenance needs over the break.

For any roof leaks or flood/storm related damage during this period please contact the State Emergency Service (SES), by calling 132 500.

For any power outages, contact Energex by calling 136262.

We have a list of approved contacts for emergency repairs over the Christmas period.

Before calling, make sure your situation is listed as an emergency repair below:

Emergency repairs are:

• a burst water service or a serious water service leak
• a blocked or broken toilet
• a serious roof leak
• a gas leak
• a dangerous electrical fault
• flooding or serious flood damage
• serious storm, fire or impact damage
• a failure or breakdown of the gas, electricity or water supply
• a failure or breakdown of an essential service or appliance on the property for hot water, cooking or heating
• a fault or damage that makes the property unsafe or insecure
• a fault or damage likely to injure a person, damage property or unduly inconvenience a tenant
• a serious fault in a staircase, lift or other common area of the property that unduly inconveniences a tenant in gaining access to, or using, the property.

All other repairs are considered routine repairs and will be dealt with when our office hours resume.
